Today's mission would be something special for Noel, the first time he would meet someone else that works closely with Navy. Having only heard stories of their adventures through the gym leader, Noel wondered what kind of person they would be. If they were able to keep up with the sheriff, then surely they must be more than capable of handling this line of work.[break][break]

Standing around at the city plaza, he'd wait for his partner while keeping a lookout. Several reports of Tinkaton becoming a menace around these parts would have the city enlist the help of the League and so they were called as the two nearest League officers. So far everything seemed peaceful and Noel simply let out a sigh wondering if he was just to stand around and do nothing at all today.

Fitted into a rusted old chassis that only a secretary's income could (barely) afford, Baki leaped out of the pickup, singling out the man she was looking for almost immediately. The girl had sharp eyes, and there was a dangerous look in 'em.[break][break]

"Yo, Parker. You just sittin' around? Glad to see you take the initiative."[break][break]

Her words are accusatory, like she's judging him. But she's not strict about it. She says it with a sardonic smile. Looking him up and down once, she pulls out her Rotom phone and performs a small gesture on her screen. It takes to the air at once, circling overhead like a drone, on the lookout for these faeries that keep terrorizing the town.[break][break]

"No worries, let's get going. Think last time Navy dealt with these maniacs it was just over here a ways."[break][break]

As if to affirm her suspicions, the Rotom phone began to beep frantically, darting back to her side. She smiles at the cute little face, and shoves it back in her pocket. [break][break]

"Looted a whole scrapyard before. Made a huge mess of it. There's still metal scraps littered all over the south end of town if you go over it with an Itemfinder."[break][break]

She doesn't wait up, hurrying briskly in the direction her phone indicates. There ain't a lotta light, and she ain't got a lotta day left before she's gotta skip town again toward Ever Grande. Time to make this quick.[break][break]

"You got everything?"[break][break]

She looks back one last time as she bounds down a flight of stairs, making sure Parker's keeping up. [break][break]

Noel had a somewhat dumbfounded look on his face. This was Baki? Based on what he was told, he envisioned someone completely different, and also older. To him she seemed like just some snarky kid, there was no way she could be one of Navy's deputies. It took a moment for Noel to process everything she had said, all he cared about however, was that people were soon to be in trouble. As he stood atop the stairs, he looked down towards Baki and questioned her.[break][break]

"Wait, hold on. You're Baki? Sorry I just didn't think Navy would enlist someone so young to do this kind of work. I don't mean to sound you're not up to it, but... well are you?"[break][break]

As he finishes his interrogation, sounds of shouting, screams and what he could only make out as a loud crash could be heard from just a short distance away from them. People began to run away from the commotion, heading past the pair of trainers up the stairs.[break][break]

"Well... that doesn't matter right now. I think we've found our culprits and these people need our help, lets go."[break][break]

Sprinting past the crowd and Baki, he'd rush his way down the steps and make his way to the center of the problem. Once there, he sees just what was causing the issue. A small horde of Tinkaton had gathered around a skyscraper building, crashing their hammers down onto the structure repeatedly. The glass windows and steel beams were nothing compared to the might of their weapons, bits and pieces of metal mixed with glass were scattered all throughout the area. Taking a Pokeball from off his belt, the deputy would turn back to his partner who hopefully had followed suit.[break][break]

"We've got to put a stop to them before they cause any more damage. Baki, let's take these Tinkaton out together. Rescue is our first priority however, you see any people or Pokemon in trouble, help them out first."

A huff, and the ball at her belt becomes the opening salvo. The first Tinkaton is smacked in the head, and her Salazzle pops out in a flash of bright light. [break][break]

"Fuji, Heat Wave! Let's wreck their shit so hard they'll think twice about comin' back!"[break][break]

The giant lizard opens her mouth wide, fluorescent venom spilling onto the grass and setting it alight. The Tinkaton closest to her raises its hammer and brings it down in Fuji's direction, but she darts back and breathes a tremendous gale into existence. Glass melts in its window sill, concrete is scorched black, and a few wayward fae's hair catch ablaze.[break][break]

Even so, the bulk of the attack is focused on the Tinkaton directly ahead of her and its great hammer. The steel of the hammer super-heated to a bright orange, Fuji hisses and readies herself for when the Tinkaton raises it again, prepared to strike when an opening presents itself.[break][break]

For someone who so spoke so highly of themselves, she certainly was quick to anger and go off on her own. Not heeding to his plan, Tsubaki instead goes off on her own, immediately fighting against the rabid Tinkaton while her Salazzle wreaks havoc on the building and contends against the hammer-wielding fairies. Perhaps Noel had signed up for more than he could handle.[break][break]

"Hey watch out! You're destroying the building in the process!"[break][break]

But his warning fell on deaf ears, still the lizard continued its rampage, not caring as to what it set aflame as nearby grass and trees were set on fire, all in the name of driving away their foes. Suddenly, Noel's Braixen pops out of its Pokeball. Wanting to participation a bit in the destruction, it unleashes a Flamethrower in the direction of the Tinkaton that was soon to let down its hammer on the Salazzle. Blowing it away in a steady stream of fire that causes the Pokemon to faint and fall harshly on the ground. The fox-like Pokemon smirks at Baki's Pokemon and chuckles devilishly. It would then begin to go and face more Tinkaton, not wanting to be one-upped by the poisonous reptile in body count.[break][break]

Considering the building as a lost cause, Noel's first priority was rescue. Helping citizens off the ground that were unlucky enough to be in the way of shattered glass and falling steel, he'd direct them to safety.[break][break]

"Baki get a hold of the situation. Make sure no Tinkaton get even close to us."[break][break]

Whether his command would be listened to would be up to her, he felt as though she would still go off on her own, but he would try and give at least some sort of directive.

[attr="class","star2tsu4"]A rookie's conviction he's doing the right thing. Know the people, know the land. That's the key to success in this job. But there's no hesitation as Noel runs around, looking for civilians to get out of the way of danger.[break][break]

"This part of town's been abandoned for a damned year! Calm down!"[break][break]

Baki shoots back, glaring at the next squad of Tinkaton. They eye the lizard spitting venom and hide behind the ends of their gigaton hammers, leaping out of the way. Fuji uses the opening to scurry closer, belly along the ground, tails whipping up a frenzy of purple flames. [break][break]

"Scars Rocket left on this town are deep. Invaded and got driven out in a day, but the damage... that takes time to heal."[break][break]

And all the abandoned buildings made perfect habitats for menaces like these Tinkaton to move into. Better that than the fate that befell Granite Cave, still near empty. [break][break]

As her Salazzle draws close, the first of the Tinkaton lifts its hammer to try and stop her. She takes the opportunity to blind it, spitting poison in its eyes. It drops the hammer, handle stubbing its toe. Incapacitated, Fuji sets on the fae's two partners.[break][break]

Very few of the Tinkaton remained. Tsubaki and Noel had done quick work of the fairy menace. Slowly but surely they were whittling down their numbers, with the building they were supposed to protect now nothing but an empty husk surrounded by the fallen hammer-wielding sisters. With Tsubaki's Salazzle closing in for an attack on the last couple remaining assailants, a hammer comes crashing down from the air right in front of the lizard, stopping her in her tracks.[break][break]

From the distance, a lone Tinkaton could be seen strolling through the evacuated area, heading straight for her weapon.[break][break]

Making quick notice that this must be the boss of this group of demolishers, Noel shouts out a command to his Pokemon.[break][break]

"Braixen! Take care of that one while its alone!"[break][break]

With a smug smile, the fire-fox shoots off a beam of concentrated psychic energy that lifts the crushed down hammer with ease. Spiriting it away up into the air and hovering it high above the enlarged Tinkaton. Finally it lets go once enough height had been created, causing the weighty hammer to come plummeting down onto its head. Yet with no reaction, the goliath simply raises its hand up and catches the handle of its weapon in its mitts like a ball. The Braixen recoils back at this sudden development, intimidated by the sheer power that was emitting from their new foe.[break][break]

"Gah... This one's going to be tough... Tsubaki! We're gonna have to work together if we want to take this one down, it's not going to go down without a fight unlike those smaller ones. Just follow my lead!"[break][break]

With the plan supposedly now in motion, the Braixen would begin to harness a fiery energy from its wand that would conjure up a fireball from its tip, growing larger and larger in size with every passing moment. Soon they would unleash their wrath, however it was completely up to Hyakkaryōran Tsubaki whether or not she would wait for them.

A quick scowl comes across her face as she considers the gall the man has, presuming to give her orders. [break][break]

Still, the battlefield does not care about one's ego. Let herself be distracted by pettiness, and she's in for a rude awakening. [break][break]

She allows him that, nodding along.[break][break]

"Okay, Fuji! In sync, now!" [break][break]

She raises her hand, waiting for the signal.[break][break]

Her Salazzle's chest brims with heat, swelling up as she breathes in. Her tail burns brighter as she summons all her breath, waiting to fire the heat wave in combination with the braixen. [break][break]

"Aaaaand.... now!!"[break][break]

Only once she casts her spell forth does the lizard spew burning heat forth, hot enough to melt solid steel. [break][break]
